Amity University & RICS launch First Realty institute

Joining hands with RICS, Amity University has launched a realty institute. This is the first realty institute in India and it will offer a number of courses related to real estate.

An institute which offers various courses on real estate has been recently launched. This is the first realty institute in India. This first realty institute was jointly launched by Amity University and RICS.

Real estate sector has been facing acute shortage of skilled labor. Unlike other sectors, realty sector had no schools or institutes for training the people. This situation will get over soon. This is what Amity University too aims at by launching a new realty institute.

With the launch of a realty institute the situation is expected to get better. However the result is yet to be watched and seen as the institute has only begun.

It may take at least a couple of years for this institute to have an impact on the labor shortage. The courses are offered for two to three years. It offers both BBA and MBA courses related to real estate.

BBA in Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure is a three year course. Besides this BBA course there are two MBA courses viz. MBA in Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure and MBA in Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure.

Amity University has already appointed Prof KT Ravindran as the dean of studies. The University authority believes that the professor’s long experience, extending over three decades, will help the institute.

Prof KT Ravindran is a well experienced man who was previously the dean at School of Planning and Architecture. He also has the experience as the chairman of Delhi Urban Arts Commission.

RICS School of Built Environment is located at Noida. The realty institute is launched with the support of urban and housing ministry.

While launching the brochure the minister for urban and housing Kamal Nath said that the launch of this realty institution is really commendable. He said that he expects other universities to follow the step of Amity.
